The interest and joy engendered by researching the life and background of our forebears is impossible to describe. Suffice it to say that these feelings do exist, and are most pleasurable to experience.
If you are thinking of starting out on the trail of your antecedents, or if you wish to continue what you have already started, why not consider joining our group...? We are a non-profit organisation, dedicated to promoting interest and participation in Genealogy.
(Tweed Gold Coast Family History & Heritage Association Inc. was previously known as Twin Towns Family History Group Inc.)
Our Research Room is located inside the South Tweed Sports Club, (formerly known as South Tweed Heads Bowling Club) on the highway at South Tweed Heads, NSW, Australia (4 Minjungbal Drive).

Tuesday - 10am - 7pm
Wednesday to Friday -10am to 4pm
Saturday 9.30am to 3pm
(Closed 1st Tuesday of month, between 1pm and 4pm, for get-together)
A get-together meeting is held at 1.30pm on the first Tuesday of the month, at the South Tweed Heads Sports Club. We endeavour to have a guest speaker to address these meetings, and they are very enjoyable occasions.
The research rooms are stocked with many resources and our journal TRACKS, which is packed full of information, is posted or emailed to members throughout the year.
Membership joining fee is $10, and a yearly fee of $35 ($40 for a family) is payable.
Non-members may use our facilities for a fee of $8 per day. An attendant is always on duty in the Research Room for assistance if required.
|Members of our enthusiastic group have spent many rewarding hours transcribing the details of Murwillumbah General Cemetery and photographing headstones. Similar work on the Murwillumbah Lawn Cemetery was completed early 2013.
