If you are thinking of starting out on the trail of your antecedents, or if you wish to continue what you have already started, please give some consideration to joining our group. We are a non-profit organisation, dedicated to promoting interest and participation in Genealogy.
Our Research Room is located inside the South Tweed Sports Club, on the highway at South Tweed Heads.

Membership joining fee is $10, and a yearly fee of $30 ( $35 for a family ) is payable.
Non-members may use our facilities for a fee of $8 per day. An attendant is always on duty in the Research Room to assist you if required. The Room is open to members and visitors on :
Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - 10am to 4pm
Friday - 10am to 7pm
Saturday 9am to 12noon ( to 3pm on 1st and 3rd Saturdays )
A research service, dealing with information on Tweed, Brunswick, and southern Gold Coast, can be provided by one of our members. This is information to be found in local newspapers, from 1914 to the present. The cost of this service varies, depending upon the time frame involved. To give an idea of these costs :-
If exact date is known, $5 per lookup, plus photocopying at
20c per A4 sheet, and
$2 postage.
If date is not known, $20 per lookup, plus extras as above.
Payment of the charge is to be made in advance of receiving research material, and made payable to our Association.

A get-together meeting is held at 1.30pm on the first Tuesday of the month, at the South Tweed Heads Sports Club
( formerly known as South Tweed Heads Bowling Club ). We try to have a guest speaker to address these meetings, and they are very enjoyable occasions.
